Family Advisory Board

Our Mission

The goal of our Family Advisory Board is to acquaint the parents of Cambridge Classical Academy with each other and to organize assistance for the school.  FAB is the liaison between the teachers and the school board.

The Parent Social Committees, the Student Activities Committees and the School Administration Committees are key areas of parent involvement. Cambridge Classical Academy counts on its parents as a vital and integral part of the school’s ability to function properly and in association with the needs of the parent community. Some ways to get involved include:

  • Participate in FAB activities without reservation
  • Provide professional services such as marketing, accounting, legal, etc. to the school community
  • Become a classroom parent
  • Provide administrative office assistance
  • Plan and implement cleanup of property on and around school grounds
  • Participate in facility work days
  • Coordinate fundraising events
  • Be an academic tutor
  • Offer transportation to another family and/or become a carpool driver
  • FAB hosts informative meetings every month via Zoom or at the school. All parents are required to attend.

Parent Fundraising

All fundraising activities for Cambridge Classical Academy are coordinated by the Family Advisory Board and must be approved in advance by the Head of School.

Fundraising

There are two major fundraisers—one in the Fall and another in the Spring. Parents are expected to eagerly participate in our approved fund raising projects and support our efforts with their time, talent, and donations. Parents who do not participate are still responsible for each semester’s financial commitment ($500 net/year).
